Au Train Lake Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained setting with spacious, private campsites surrounded by nature. Guests appreciate the friendly and helpful hosts, along with clean restrooms and enjoyable boat tours. While some faced issues with mosquitoes and the availability of potable water, many found the campground to be a relaxing and memorable experience with access to nearby outdoor activities.

We've been going to this campground for roughly 10 years. We love it. No electricity or plumbing, but the vault toilets are kept clean and rarely smell much. The camp sites are pretty spacious and most of them feel private due to the trees. Lots of tree coverage so you won't get much sun on site. Located between munising and marquette which is perfect for us.

We were very happy with this campground as a home base while visiting Pictured Rocks. The campsites were wooded and well spaced apart. We were also pleasantly surprised with how much we could explore in the immediate area. We enjoyed the overlook of the lake and songbird trail. The bathrooms were also very clean. We plan to return.

We LOVED camping here! All of the campsites felt private. The vault toilets were very clean with little smell. Most of the other campers were very quiet and kept to themselves. At night, there were many owls to be heard, which was lovely. We wish we could have stayed for longer. Great value for the quality. Remember your bear spray though!

Love staying at Au Train campground! Site 29 was perfect for our 25’ Class C. Always enjoy Pam’s Pasties and ice cream at the Northwoods Outpost. Great access to the Pictured Rock area.
