Perfect campsite with good spacing for privacy. Infrastructure is in excellent shape. We did visit the remaining bay furnace within walking distance of the campsite. No issue with the dump station or potable water fill. Picnic area overlooks Lake Superior.

Great experience, perfect spot to be to visit the national park, bathrooms well kept, campsite had lots of tree to be slightly isolated from other campsites. An ideal camping spot!

There was no proper bathroom, only an outhouse. Also, nobody was there to check us in, so we really fumbled around for a minute. No Wi-Fi, and the water was in a discreet place, but we didn’t go looking too hard, so I guess that was our bad. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wonderful small campground. My site had direct access to Lake Superior. Nice swimming beach, but bring water shoes for the rocks.

We had a perfect week at Bay Furnace over the Fourth. We were able to park our 29 ft trailer with no issues on lot 13. Access to the lake and nothing to the direct left of us but Hiawatha State Forest. The grounds and rest rooms are clean and well taken care of. We look forward to next years camp at Bay Furnace.

The campground has spacious camp sites. The bathrooms were very clean, had nice lake shore access for recreation which created an overall relaxing atmosphere.

Quiet, clean, and gorgeous. The host campers were excellent and the pit toilets were always spotless. The road in has lots of bad potholes. Hopefully they will be fixed soon.

Great Boondocking campground. The sites are spaced far apart and plenty of shade. Didn't try the pit toilets as we are self-contained. Tall pines in a forest/beach area. Some sites have trails to the beach, if yours doesn't, then there is a trail located next to the Camp Host's site. Really beautiful area and we would come back if the weather was cool. There were a few mosquitos in the evening.
