The campground is a beautiful spot, nestled halfway between Manistique and Munising MI, in Michigan's UP.
There are a few things that guests need to be aware of though. It goes without saying that the moquitos are awful. Plan ahead. The other thing is that the road in to the campground is EXTREMELY rough and pothole filled. The Forest service would be further ahead to remove the pavement and gravel the road in. Upgrades are "in the works" to build one new pit toilet building, but progress seems to have slowed.

Fishing was great. The care takers were great. The only concern is the condition of the road going in.

The hosts are very helpful and informative. Unfortunately the road going into the campground has massive potholes.

Very quiet, polite campground. Hosts were 11 out of 10 amazing - extremely friendly. Only complaints are the fire pit at our site had a huge hole in it and the road into the campground needs work, very bumpy. Wish more places had dump stations like Colwell.

Campground hosts are exceptional & very accommodating !! The road into the campground must be fixed… it’s been a couple years and nothing has been done.
