Great campground. Small rustic and pretty easy to find. Several locations to put in kayaks or canoes. Fish will bite but tend to be small. A great introduction for fishing from a kayak. Lots of birds from woodpeckers to swans the beavers may have moved on but they left some downed logs. Far enough from town to get the night sky you have been looking for.

This was our 2nd stay at site 6! We love the easy access to the absolutely beautiful lake! A fish with very cast! We will definitely be adding to our number of stays at this park!

The campground is OK if you don’t mind camping close to other people. I also didn’t care for street lights in a campground. The site itself was fine.

This campground was very serene and quiet. The sites all seemed large and had pretty good privacy. Our site had a little driveway leading into the main area which was convenient for parking cars (we had 3 lined up at one point) but did add a challenge for backing our 18(?) ft camper into the space. The site is listed as lakefront, which it is, but there is quite a slope down to the water and the shore was quite marshy during our visit. It would have been fine for fishing or maybe a small boat but just keep in mind, there was not a shore area to hangout on or any sort of beach.
My only complaint was the upper loop had a nice cedar latrine but the lower loop where we were only had a port-a-potty, the plastic kind, with very little space.

I could walk down to the lake from my site and I heard a loon!

Sites were large and fairly level. Heavily wooded giving privacy. Path from site to lake. Primitive site with no utilities. Garbage dumpster was not emptied entire stay and was beyond over flowing which as the only service provided was disappointing

Great location to use as a base site to explore nearby Pictured Rocks. We loved the easy lake access for early am canoeing and fishing. Only advice- avoid site #2, immediately adjacent to the group camp site. We were next to a very noisy group and ended up moving sites after one night next to them. Enjoy!

This campground was excellent in so many ways. We had no issue locating our reserved campsite and there were even a few spots on the lake that were available for first come first serve. We decided to stay with spot 8 which gave us ultimate privacy and close proximity to the outhouse which was SO CLEAN. It was the best outhouse I’ve used in a campground. It was well stocked, clean, smelled ok, and had nice air fresheners. The fire pit at our site was well maintained with an awesome grill top for cooking. The ground was level and nice for our tent. I loved walking down to the water and the close proximity to nearby towns. You won’t have service here, but it’s the best way to disconnect from the world. Make sure to download music and maps as needed cause you can’t get them there. Again, wonderful campground that is well maintained. I would definitely visit again. We didn’t have kayaks but the launch was accessible and easy to find. We bought firewood from a local neighbor who had a stand in front of their house. Got a great amount of wood to burn for 3 days/nights just for $20. The general stores aren’t far and have everything you need.

The campground was great— small, with enough privacy between sites and on a lake. It was convenient for visiting Pictured Rocks National Park. And it wasn’t too buggy!

Beautiful, serene campground. Looking forward to returning again. Very clean and kept sites, bathroom, etc. Wonderful view of the lake. Only about a 20 minute drive from Munising, where we would go each day. I would bring in your own drinking water as the water from the pump there was rusty.
