Beautiful campground off the beaten path. The long drive in on the dirt road was an extra bonus of beauty for us but you mustn’t be in a rush. This location is a short drive to the Chapel Loop. If you are intolerant of mosquitoes/flies then the UP may be unpleasant for you in the summer. I recommend bug protection including a head net and open your tent as little as possible. They will find their way in any small hole.

Left a note on a NPS truck about a concern over a damaged tree and by the time we got back from kayaking on that same day they had sent a team out to take it down safely. Had a great time on top of that service despite mosquitos and rain.

The absolute most beautiful campground I have been to, the fact the trails connect to the campground was a major bonus for me. Was able to hike to Lake Superior and come back and take a nap without having to drive! Will keep my eye out if this spot ever opens up again

Had so much fun and we loved it! All girls and felt safe. The view was amazing and the hiking was an adventure! Loved how close this campsite is to other hiking trails. (for car) Easy set up- loved having the car beside us, the campfire, and the bathrooms weren’t too bad.

View of the lake was beautiful from select sites with access to the lake. Most sites are semi private, which short walking distance to toilets.

Booked this site last minute. Campground is very small, 8 sites plus one dispersed site. This site was in the center of the loop, with all other sites on the water. It was very exposed during the day, so bring some shade tarps or canopies. The tent pad was right in the sun all day. Otherwise was a great time. Would say the worst site is right next to the toilets. Very quiet campground. Pit Toilets were clean.
