About Little Beaver Campground

Cell phone reception is limited, so unplug, unwind, and enjoy the serenity Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Campgrounds has to offer.  This small campground (9 sites) is located 3 mi (0.6 mi) north of Alger County Road H-58 and 20 mi northeast of Munising on Little Beaver Lake. One campsite is wheelchair accessible. Because of the small campsites and the narrow, twisting, hilly access road it is highly suggested you check the campsite length, width, and height before booking.Pets are NOT allowed at Little Beaver Campground.A small boat ramp is available for launching boats. Only electric motors are permitted on Little Beaver Lake and Beaver Lake as these lakes are within the Beaver Basin Wilderness area. Little Beaver also features the Little Beaver Nature Trail, a 1 mi (.1.9 mi) loop trail. A 1.5 mi (1.5 mi) trail leads to Lake Superior and connects with the North Country Trail.

I reserved and paid for a site thru rec.gov, they gave me site #9, and after driving 45 mi to get there, I found out there are only 8 sites there. No #9! No refund. No help. Drove 20+ miles and boondocked in the woods. Be cautious when using rec.gov.

Nice small campground with road access. Campground is approximately 1.4 mi off of North Country Trail. Would have been fun to kayak around the lake but we were just there for an overnight.
