Twelvemile Beach Campground offers stunning views of Lake Superior and spacious, well-maintained campsites, providing a peaceful atmosphere for visitors. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful, contributing to a clean and welcoming environment. However, challenges with the reservation system and occasional mosquito swarms have been noted by guests, highlighting the need for preparation regarding bug protection and awareness of site availability.

We loved it, nice campground, beautiful beach, lots of nice hikes, waterfalls and very diverse scenery. Wonderful boat tour to view the spectacular scenery of the cliffs. We should have taken the boat in the p.m. when the sun would have been shining on the cliffs.

Probably the quietest campground we have ever stayed at. It is also one of the prettiest and most interesting with all that is available nearby. Clean and well maintained. No wonder it is hard to get a reservation.

We were only able to stay one night, because we booked last minute, but this is one campground that we would have loved to stay at much longer. This is not your typical parking lot style campground. There is ample space between campsites and tons of privacy. If you love beach view, then book the odd numbered sites. They have amazing views of Lake Superior. We have a class B camper van and can get by without electricity. We liked that we could run our generator when needed. There is a non-generator zone too. There are no showers at this location, so plan your travels around that. A must do activity is to do the Pictured Rocks Kayaking Tour with the same named company. Well worth the money.
