Bay View campground is one of my favorite destination campsites in Michigan. The campground is very well maintained. Camp hosts Val and Ron are very dedicated to seeing that guests feel very welcome. The Forest Service is fortunate to have this great pair as campground hosts.

The camp hosts were amazing. The site was beautiful, clean, and freshly raked on arrival, the bathrooms were clean, not malodorous at all, there was a small reading library outside in a lidded bin and we left a couple kids books. We usually stay more rustic than this, but it was an overall wonderful experience and the hosts made it totally bougie for us.

Very nice campground. Had a tremendous wind storm the first night. Beautiful sunset through the trees with the wind blowing.

The site is wonderful. Bathroom extra clean. One of the water pump was out of order but the host said the water at the other end tastes better anyway. It did taste really good.

Beautiful and spacious sites. Loved all the trees and being right on Whitefish Bay. Sunsets were beautiful. Campground hosts, Roy and Val, were so friendly too and do a great job keeping the park clean and welcoming.

Our stay at this campsite was everything and more that we had wanted out of this trip to the UP! The quick and easy access to the beach meant that beautiful sunset and sunrise views were both at our fingertips. The beach itself is well-maintained and the tolerable and borderline-warm water temperature provided endless opportunity for us and our dogs to swim. The campsite is situated closely to the pump for potable water and even closer to a well-maintained bathroom. The campsite itself is spacious and provides appreciable privacy when the trees are full in the summer months. It’s a feasible drive to Tahquamenon Falls, which on a sunny day, proved to be a spectacular hike during our stay in the area. We are looking forward to returning to this campsite in the future!
