What Guests Are Saying
Soldier Lake offers a beautiful and quiet camping experience with spacious, clean sites and a helpful camp host. The location is convenient for outdoor activities and has a lovely lake for swimming. While there were some issues with water quality and reservations, overall, visitors appreciate the campground's rustic charm and plan to return.

The biggest issue was drinkable water. The water is rusty, has an oily film, and tasted terrible. We had to use bottled water for the three nights we were there, not even good enough to brush teeth. Everything else was find, we like site 5. It had enough trees and shrubs to provide privacy from other sites. The site was relatively level and we the fire pit was adaquate (smaller than other campgrounds). The location was accessable to eastern UP and Canada.

We had wonderful experience. We did have neighbors that made complaints but the camp host was very prompt and courteous is taking care of concerns. We have camped here for many years and usually there are two camp hosts (husband and wife). Its a large area to take care when you consider the day park area, etc. The (single) camp host this year was very busy attending to all the duties. He took extra time asking if it was going good and letting us know about smoke/wildfires. Kudos

Small campground, very quiet. Lake has sandy beaches and several access points in the campground. They were clearing pine trees, which cut out some shade from some sites.

Soldier Lake is always our "Go To" place. Its close to home, great sites, always a good time for recreational activities and just relaxing. The bathrooms were very clean, new camp host this year was great and kept up on everything and made sure everyone's needs were met and safe after a pretty severe storm rolled through.
