Soldier Lake offers a beautiful and quiet camping experience with spacious, clean sites and a helpful camp host. The location is convenient for outdoor activities and has a lovely lake for swimming. While there were some issues with water quality and reservations, overall, visitors appreciate the campground's rustic charm and plan to return.

The property manager was great. Very attentive to keeping the grounds clean and orderly. Lake is wonderful for swimming. Campsites are spacious and not to close to your neighbor like #18.

From Sault Ste. Marie, take I-75 approximately 8 mi south to Exit 386. Turn right onto M-28 and travel 21.5 mi west to Forest Road 3138. Turn left and continue less than a mile to the campground.

- Don't move firewood: To limit the spread of invasive tree-killing pests, firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood. - Reservations cannot be traded for walk up sites.
- There is no office at this location. It has a self pay station. Reservations cannot be changed at this location.
