1st let me say that my family loves this campground. The sites are amazing we couldn't ask for better primitive sites. However, the campground hosts have taken away some of the joy of staying here. They run their generator after hours and when asked about it they said, well we have work to do. Excuse me, you are in the campground I would think you have to abide by the rules. They run their golf cart and riding lawnmower up and down the camp road all day long. The noise is obnoxious. Also, we see signs on vacant sites that say "closed for maintenance"???? what maintenance? cleaning out the fire pit??? We used to leave firewood for the next campers, but have found out they pick it up and sell it. So much for paying it forward. We will never leave firewood here again. We will burn it all. Also when speaking with the hosts they told us if we didn't like the way they run the campground we should just go somewhere else! We come here because it is quiet, primitive and secluded. Its not a state park, I don't want it to be like a state park. those are ok, but not for me. I am concerned that they are going to ruin the campground. Speaking with other campers, they feel the same way. I just love it so much it is like home away from home for me but the noisy hosts are really trying to ruin that.

Love this campground! The people that take care of this campground are second to none. It is so clean and peaceful that we come back on a regular basis. Nothing is better than sleeping in a tent listening to Lake Superior all night!!
Best campground we have stayed at!!

Nice location, near Taquamenon falls, and pictured rocks. Peaceful campground right on Lake Superior.

A rustic campground for people who just want some peace and quiet. No loud music or parties here. The hosts do a much better job at enforcing the rules than most Michigan State Park Rangers, who are pretty much useless these days.

Great sunsets at this campground. Unfortunately the hosts and manager that runs the campgrounds only consider making money and don't care about the land. Selective enforcement of the rules. Enforcing only the ones that make manager maximum profit and ignoring others that help make the camping experience better!
