Would be nice if the campground is empty that we could move sites to a non reserved site

Had a wonderful stay at Brevoort Lake. Bathroom facilities were clean and well kept, lots were decent size, and nicely wooded and the campground was easily accessible off US2, within reasonable distance for daytrips throughout the eastern UP. Campground hosts provided yard games that could be checked out...we took a bocce set (used to play camping when i was a kid).

Brevoort Lake was the best experience I've had at a National Forest campground. We stayed at site #7 which had access to a private sand beach on the lake. The campground management kept the bathrooms very clean and provided amenities like yard games to borrow. Fantastic campground!

Beautiful, well-maintained sites with lots of large trees great for hammocking. Clean bathrooms and a gorgeous location near multiple lakes.
I do wish they had mandated wearing masks in the public restrooms, as most campers did not and there were no signs up.

Our campsite on the lake allowed us to launch our kayak from our campsite which was really convenient.
