We only stayed one night, after a long travel day. Two sides of the campsite were standing, swampy water with mosquitos everywhere. We did not stay a second night, we switched to a private campsite on Lake Michigan, some mosquitos there too but nowhere near the horde at Brevort Lake. There was heavy snowfall in this area this past winter and some heavy rain so I guess we should have expected the pools of standing water all around. It would be good to mention the possibility of standing water around the site, in the description, so others don't have our experience.

Wonderful campground, the few people that work there are very good at customer service and keeping the campground neat.

Mosquitos were insane. Ticks were second in charge. We were locked indoors but even there we had to fight off the little buggers. We learned never to camp there in the spring.

Bugs wearing as bad this time around still had to use a lot of campsite fogger, grass super long around the campsites and rest areas. Posts were very friendly and approachable.
