Nice visit again. Was there over the 4th, and it was busier and less peaceful than other times, but then again it was the 4th.

We were at site 28 and it was direct beach access! I feel like the beach could’ve been cleaned a little bit better as well as some of the other campsites. Looks like it’s not as well maintain as it used to be years back. The public beach area seems to have been neglected as well.Overall great experience though. Would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful campground with many lake sites. It is close to Lake Michigan and a number of tourist sites on Lake Superior.
Some of the other campers are not so good. Our neighbor ran their generator all night, left their dogs unattended for hours (dogs barked constantly) and dumped waste water (grey water) on the ground. Hosts and concessionaires did not enforce rules.

Host did an amazing job keeping restrooms and grounds tidy and clean. Campsites are larger than I was anticipating. We reserved site 44 which was on the water facing the west on the backside. The breeze from the lake pretty much kept the mosquitoes and sable flies at bay. Only 2 complaints. Only 1 out of 3 men’s toilets were operational in my loop. I was there for 14 days. Second, it would be convenient if there was a waste water ( grey water ) dump by the restroom.

Great site on the small part of the lake. Our lakeside site was mucky to water probably because of low water levels but a neighboring site was able to launch kayaks from the shore. The bathrooms are flush toilets and decently clean. Campground is well kept and campers were quiet and respectful. It wasn’t totally full even on a weekend in July. The mosquitos were plentiful but not horrible. Cell service with ATT was good. Nice proximity to St. Ignace. Get wood somewhere else nearby, it’s $10/bundle. Although it was excellent wood.
