We only stayed one night, after a long travel day. Two sides of the campsite were standing, swampy water with mosquitos everywhere. We did not stay a second night, we switched to a private campsite on Lake Michigan, some mosquitos there too but nowhere near the horde at Brevort Lake. There was heavy snowfall in this area this past winter and some heavy rain so I guess we should have expected the pools of standing water all around. It would be good to mention the possibility of standing water around the site, in the description, so others don't have our experience.

Very nice location. Have camped there for many years with family and friends.
Campground hosts were very nice. Although after arriving we were advised by them that we were only allowed 1 vehicle on our single lot and two vehicles on our double lot. Or it would be 7$ more per night for the extra vehicle. The hosts said this was their directive from the company managing the campground. Keep in mind that we had made the reservations months and months in advance AND had reported on the reservation form that we would have the number of vehicles we had ( 2 on our single site and 4 on the double). Nowhere in the rules on the reservation site that I could find does it say more money for the extra vehicle and extra money was not requested when I made the reservation and property reported the number of vehicles. So I refused to pay the extra.
I would also highly recommend clearing some of the leaves and tree debris from under the trees. It has never been done that I can tell. With the increases concern over ticks, I believe cleaning things up would help.

Beautiful place, quiet and roomy sites. Only wished the water fronts at the most sites were accessible to go swimming,,eg clearing the lily pads etc.

Great campground. The sites are big and most have a good amount of privacy. A lot of sites have water access so you can pull your boat right up to your campsite. Nice boat launch. Clean restroom facilities.
