Cadotte Lake

Camp hosts were very friendly and on the spot with keeping facilities clean. I was surprised at how small the green space was for putting up a tent. (Hard if you want to have more than one sleeping tent). Again sites well groomed and cared for. Was there for the fishing opener and camp ground wasn't noisy. A few camp sites you could hear into the night but nothing too disturbing, just people talking and laughing around the fire. Going to be honest I was disappointed in the fishing pier. I was expecting it to go out onto the lake a bit more, instead it stops right at the shore. So didn't see much advantage fishing there vs any other part of the shore line. The lake was quiet. Granted it was fishing opener and not the height of the water sport season but was again surprised considering the residential side of the lake. Overall a good place for a quiet opener.

This was the best maintained campground we have been to! The vault toilets were immaculate - every day. The beach was raked smooth every morning. All the sites were neatly manicured. Nothing was overgrown. The road was smooth and firm with no potholes.

What a beautiful campground. Lots of privacy and space in each site. We went for two days and left feeling so relaxed.
The grounds were very well kept, toilets were very clean and the host was nice. The beach was also super clean with crystal clear waters. It was lovely to have a quiet beach to relax on in early July. We'll definitely consider coming back. :)
I would caution others on two points. There is a nearby train track that comes through at about 10 p.m. and again sometime around 3 a.m. blowing it's horn. The other is I did get swimmer's itch from the lake. Although neither of these points would stop us from going back - but it's good to know upfront. :)

Nice beach area, good hiking close. Campgrounds were quiet and clean. Wife said cleanest bathrooms she's ever seen.
