The site was clean and completely acceptable. We booked this specific campground because the COE book stated that it had laundry facilities. When we went to do the laundry the machine was in use. Finally, after waiting, the host came over and told us that we couldn't use it, host use only. This is ridiculous. Won't be booking here again It costs over $20 to drive into town and try parking a motorhome at a laundromat. Not possible. Yes, there are other COEs that have washers and dryers for those travelling the Country.

The campsite was large and relatively private. The whole campground is immaculately kept by a crew that really cares. There is lots to see and do. Only one downside, on that particular weekend: very loud fireworks blown off nearby lasting till past midnight.

Very clean and well managed campground. Sites were pre-marked by the rangers and there was no need to stop anywhere when arriving. Firewood can be purchased online and delivered to your site which is very convenient. My only complaint about the facility is the distance from the boat launch and size of the boat launch parking lot. If you have a large trailer/truck, park in the overflow lot. I was almost unable to get my truck/trailer out of its parking spot due to limited room and others parking next to me.

Well maintained and clean. The park looks like it has recently been updated. Be sure to print out a campground map before you go as the is no campground map posted at the park.

During the 2025 camping season, rangers will not be checking you in at your site in person. Instead, you will find a box on your site post with check-in information such as firewood ordering hand out, your day use camper pass, and an important campground information handout. Please review these materials when you arrive. If you need assistance, contact a ranger or a volunteer. |

There is no longer an entrance at the north side of the park. All users will need to access the park via the south entrance. There is a new roundabout on Gull Dam Road to route you to the south if you still wish to come via Gull Dam Road. Suggested directions are as follows:From the intersection MN 210 and MN 371 in Baxter, drive north 2.6 miles. Turn left on Cty Rd 77 (Pine Beach Road). Drive west for 4.7 miles. Turn right onto Cty Rd 70 (E. Gull Lake Drive). You will come to a stop sign in 2.1 miles, go straight, this will take you into the park. Follow the road over the dam and the campground will be straight ahead. |
