Overall a miserable experience partly due to the campground and partly due to extreme weather conditions. We arrived at the campground and there is no actual office. Just a phone number on the door with a note to call Bill. We called Bill and he just said go ahead and go to your site. We get to the site and it appears to be the only non seasonal site as we were surrounded by long term sites. Not a bit of shade to be found so we hooked up the electric right away only to find the breaker tripping each time the AC kicked on. Turns out the 30 amp site only has a 20 amp breaker. 95 plus temps so this was a problem. Leveling was a bit of a challenge as the pad was washed away on one side. After two days of extreme heat, the forest fire smoke arrived so we decided to cut our trip short. We puled out and searched for the dump station only to find that it was pretty much just a hole in a small concrete apron that was not really accessible with our Motorhome with a Jeep attached and the employees appeared to use that area as their parking lot. The opening was about 12' above ground level so there was no way to actually dump the tanks. There was no water available at the dump spot so we would not have been able to rinse out the sewer hose or add any water back to the tanks. The guys response was basically sorry this is what we have and walked away. We left and found a dump station at a KOA near home. Overall a poorly maintained campground. Even the road out of the office area had trees overgrowing the road scraping down the side and across the roof. I suggest finding another play to stay. The lake is beautiful and the residents appear to enjoy their homes but this is just not a place for short stays. Moose Lake campground is about 15 minutes away and a much nicer place to stay.

The most beautiful sky I’ve seen in a very long time. Very spacious and great view of the lake. The location is very convenient with Duluth just around the corner, a Walmart close by and a short drive to the north shore. I stayed in an octagon cabin, which had everything you need with a porter potty that way easy to access. Great host and easy to find based on description from host.

Bed was very comfortable. Refrigerator melted my ice cream. A plethora of dead flies on the ground. No easy access to toilet. Overall, quiet and private.

Loved the location. Only 50 miles from home. Owner was nice. They have plenty of dock space to tie up your boat. Didn't get a chance to try the food. Cooked for ourselves. Spent about 5 hours each of the 2 days fishing and caught a total of 25 fish. Doesn't include the 5 we got up to the boat and broke the line. Very relaxing weekend vacation!
