Knife Island Campground

The Bear Hug Cabin was a delightful surprise! Pretty non-descript outside, but adorable inside. We loved our stay. Best to call about pricing, though. It changed on the website three times in the couple days I was looking.

My wife and I stayed here from Friday to Monday awesome campsite clean well kept and a good walking area and fishing the staff were so friendly and courteous and not far from biking trails definitely going back ASAP and will continue to with out a hesitation not to mention we got in late for check in when we called it was no problem very nice and welcoming even as we exited we were thanked for staying and met the owner and chatted about our E-bikes we had on our rack very nice keep up the awesomeness at Knife Island.

We had a fantastic family weekend at Knife Island campground. The staff was friendly and helpful, shower facilities were clean, and our two campsites were perfect: spacious but close enough together to easily spend time as a group. We didn’t hear anyone else all weekend, so it felt like we were the only ones there!

We stayed in the Beaver Bungalow cabin for a weekend while hiking the SHT and it was delightful!! The campsite was clean and the folks there were all super friendly and attentive. The shower/bath house was the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground. Room service for firewood and ice too!! The cabin itself was adorable and clean and a fun alternative to tent camping. We would absolutely stay here again.

Knife Island Campground is wonderful. We chose a remote site with electric and water, even though we have a camper that can use full hook ups. We were delighted by the privacy and the rustic feeling of being in the woods. Our camper looked out onto green trees, green vegetation and was so calming. It was wonderful! Our hosts were friendly and helpful and informative! We would recommend this campground if you want a great experience up north! We also loved how close it was to Duluth!
