The park up keep was the worst I have ever experienced in 55 years of coming to the park. It was filthy!! Almost brought me to tears how much the campground has degraded.

Had a great time even though we had to move spots midway through our stay due to availability. The new docks are a nice addition. The campground itself is well maintained. Only downfall was the women’s bathrooms/showers buildings were not clean at all the whole time of our stay. Unusual for this campground. The outdoor rustic bathroom was very clean though. We try to come here twice a year and look forward to to coming again.

Very nice new boat tie-up piers. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned for some time which was quite unusual. Previously they were always cleaned twice a day. They were also out of toilet paper. Otherwise it was a great camping trip.

Over the years we have tent camped at Cross Lake countless times. I know their general rule to minimize noise after 10:00 pm. I recommend that the play ground equipment not we used after 10:00 and a sign stating so should be in place. Some of the equipment is very noise and it did disrupt our sleep after 10:00 pm. We were on site 28 and the teenagers on site 30 were very noise.

Tent Sites were by a swampy part of the lake. There was numerous mosquitoes. Also by the boat launch dock where power boats were leaving before 6 AM

Click here for more information 14-Day Stay LimitTo ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy our campsites, please be aware of our 14-day camping policy.Camping at any of our sites is limited to a maximum of 14 days within any 30-consecutive-day period.This rule is in accordance with official regulation CFS 327.7(b). An extension may only be granted with written permission from the District Commander.Please be aware that violations may result in the cancellation of reservations or removal from the campground.America The Beautiful PassesWe proudly accept America The Beautiful passes. To ensure fair use, please remember:The pass may only be used for the single campsite you are actively occupying.Passes are non-transferable and cannot be shared with friends or family for other sites.If a pass is used for multiple sites simultaneously, it will be invalidated, and the full camping fee for the additional site(s) will be charged.Cross Lake Recreation Area has additional rules including but not limited to:* Firewood restrictions are in effect to prevent the spread of invasive insects and disease. Closure* The Campground will close 15-OCT-2026 for the remainder of the season. This includes all dump stations, all restrooms, and water spigots. At this time, the main boat ramp is expected to remain available throughout October. |
