Fall Lake camp ground was very clean and well maintained. They put out colored pine cones for the kids to find and my grandson just loved it. Camp host were very helpful. We had a great time at Fall Lake.

Always fun to be at Fall Lake! They do an excellent job at maintaining the campground. We wish there were (more) bike trails but really that’s our only wish.

This campground was amazing! I usually stay at a campground on the edge of the BWCA before and/or after a trip. It was so nice having modern facilities, hot showers, and a nice camp site. I also loved how the had bingo and painted pine cones for a fun children’s activities for prizes. When I go to the Ely side again, I’m definitely staying here!

Fall Lake is located in Northeast MN, 100 miles North of Duluth MN. From Duluth, MN, take Highway 53 north for 50 miles to Virginia, MN. Take Highway 169 northeast for 50 miles to Ely, Minnesota, travel an addition 6.5 miles to County Road 182 (Fall Lake Road). Travel north on County Road 182 for 2 miles.

- Reservations are held until the day after arrival; sites must be occupied by checkout time or will be forfeited.

- Visitors to the northern portion of Fall Lake must have a valid BWCAW permit.

- Most reservable sites have electric hookups; specific sites offer different amp services.
Vehicles & parking
- Each site allows one RV with a tow vehicle or one vehicle per tent site, with an option for one extra vehicle at an additional cost.
Cancellation policy
- Refund requests incur a $10 processing fee and are subject to non-refundable reservation policies.

- Firewood from outside the area is not allowed to prevent invasive pests; obtain firewood locally.
