Wonderful northern MN campground. Lots of nice private sites, some with lake views. Facilities with nice showers, though maybe not enough during peak season when lots of kids might be around. Well maintained by great staff.

We try to stay at Fall Lake every year in September. At that time of year it is our favorite Minnesota campground. Canoeing, fishing, grouse hunting, and leaf peeping along with an afternoon in Ely are always on our calendar of things to do.

Fall Lake is located in Northeast MN, 100 miles North of Duluth MN. From Duluth, MN, take Highway 53 north for 50 miles to Virginia, MN. Take Highway 169 northeast for 50 miles to Ely, Minnesota, travel an addition 6.5 miles to County Road 182 (Fall Lake Road). Travel north on County Road 182 for 2 miles.

- Reservations are held until the day after arrival; sites must be occupied by checkout time or will be forfeited.

- Visitors to the northern portion of Fall Lake must have a valid BWCAW permit.

- Most reservable sites have electric hookups; specific sites offer different amp services.
Vehicles & parking
- Each site allows one RV with a tow vehicle or one vehicle per tent site, with an option for one extra vehicle at an additional cost.
Cancellation policy
- Refund requests incur a $10 processing fee and are subject to non-refundable reservation policies.

- Firewood from outside the area is not allowed to prevent invasive pests; obtain firewood locally.
