Trails in the area. Downtown Ely for dining and shopping. Day rental paddling at Lake One.

I have stayed at Fall Lake more than once both with and without a reservation. It is a popular campground so in high season I would not count on being able to walk in without a reservation.

One of the best public campgrounds in Minnesota, maybe even the US. The campsites are secluded and well kept and so is the campground. Some favorite activities include fishing, grouse hunting, poking around Ely, and having a wonderful dinner at Burntside Lodge.

The weather was terrible and I left a day early, but that can't be helped by the campground. I've been visiting Fall lake one week per year in the fall for over 10 years. The facilities are always impeccable, bathrooms are clean and the maintenance crew visits each site between guests.

Wonderful woodsy location, good base camp for launch & recovery for BWCA, close enough to provision in Ely. Wonderful clean, heated restrooms with good showers. Family shower/toilet also available. Neighbors were quiet. Staff is wonderful. Minnesota Nice with capital letters MN! Now don’t tell anybody, please, lets keep this quiet, thanks.

Beautiful campground property in a beautiful setting. The shower houses were clean, secure and warm (we camped in September). We enjoyed the canoe rental and paddling into the surrounding lakes. Can't wait to get back there this summer.
