What Guests Are Saying
Fall Lake Campground is praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, friendly staff, and clean facilities, making it a favorite among campers. Many appreciate the private, wooded areas and proximity to hiking trails and the city of Ely. Some minor issues were reported, including occasional odors and the need for a nearby dump station, but overall, visitors enjoy returning to this peaceful and scenic campground.

Beautiful campground. Lots of space and trees between sites so feels more private than many other campgrounds. All staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend it.

This is a very nice campground. The sites had privacy, the bathrooms were clean, and it was relatively quiet. Trailers will require leveling as most of the sites are sloped. We really enjoyed the campground and will likely come back in the future.

This is a beautiful site, well kept, clean bathrooms and grounds and accommodates groups very well. The only issue is the boat docks were not installed for our visit which is very inconvenient when your group has several boats.

Nice campground hosts. All the amenities while also having trees. Good cell coverage too.

Excellent campground. Power, showers, all the while having trees. You can’t beat that combination.

We loved this camp ground and will come back soon! The Sudan Mine tour was a hit with the kids as was the Wolf Center. We usually go to the Bear Center as well as that is always popular with my kids but decided to skip that this year and just spend the time at our campsite and at the playground at the campground.

The campground and restrooms are very well maintained. This is one of my all time favorite campgrounds. But there is one problem...the only dump station in town, formerly run by the Ely Chamber of Commerce, is not really open. The former Chamber of Commerce property (that owns the dump station) is for sale and the water has been turned off at the dump station. You can still dump until the property is sold, but there is no water there. The next closest place to dump is in Babbitt (and I was told that this was going to be closed this summer). This is going to be a big problem going forward if there is no dump station and campers have to drive to Virginia. I'm not sure I will be going back unless this lack of dump station is fixed.
