The management could have been better for the three days we were there. Maybe it's just a result of Covid, but there was no toilet paper at the vaults and when staff came to change out "reserved" placards, they took ours away a day early. This caused several vehicles to drive into our site because it appeared available. Not the end of the world, but these are pretty basic things you'd expect them to have a handle on. We did really appreciate that it was open this summer though!

Very nice campsite. Tent spot is sheltered. Views of the lake. Some great loon activity in front of our site.

Very quite, small campground. Excellent location for waking up early to drive the Gunflint Trail for wildlife viewing. Also located near several hiking trails.
