Camp sites are spacious and the showers/restrooms were extremely well maintained. Beautiful location with many sites along Mississippi river. Very loud at night. Camp located just off major highway with heavy semi traffic and also situated just off rail line.

The best! Our RV site at the Pokegama Dam Campground was level, had a nice fire pit w/cooking grate, a hook for our lantern and was a lovely grassy and peaceful setting on the Mississippi River. The sites are well layed out, w/e with a very clean/modern dump station towards the back. We explored the dam area but didn't walk the trails beyond the dam. We noticed a thoughtfully planned playground if you have children, there's quite a bit of space for kids to frolic and a covered area for family picnics. Just a short drive into Grand Rapids we ate at the Forest Lake Restaurant twice. A ribeye dinner one night and the best BBQ ribs the next! Both meals were much more than we expected --the seasoned wait staff were so welcoming! Also we visited Judy Garland's childhood home one morning, it was was fun and well worth the $10 admittance. There's a nice collection of memorabilia displayed including a few original Wizard of Oz pieces! This COE campground was a perfect place for our large rig...we stayed couple nights and highly recommend!
