Great place. Small campground on the river. The price is right. When we can't make it all the way home this is our go to place.

We have camped at this beautiful, shady, spacious, well kept CoE campground many times on our way to the north shore of Lake Superior. The location is lovely along the peaceful, meandering Mississippi River. Rest rooms and showers are always clean. Dump station is convenient and well maintained. Great spot for the anglers. Very capable and accomodating staff.

Clean bathrooms, private shower, plenty of parking space, good sized tent lots. Beautiful view of the dam and close to town.

The camping sites were too short for our rig to fit. By the description on the website, I was under the impression the boat ramp could handle a boat bigger than a canoe, kayak, or rowboat. There was no way we could launch a full sized motor boat. It would be very helpful to have pictures and better descriptions of the campground sites and boat ramp area to inform people of the limited size. I would have never made reservations had I known how short the campsites were or about the inadequate boat ramp. We had to go to another campground and did not stay. It was very disappointing.

A very clean campground with nice sized sites, many overlooking the Mississippi River.

Nice small campground along the Mississippi river. Most of the sites are level, but a few down at the end are sloped down towards the river. Dump site on site, can be a bit of a wait after a weekend. Most sites are tree shaded, so satellite reception may be difficult. Close to Grand Rapids, MN where there are many things to see and do. Reserve in advance, as it seems to usually fill up.

It’s a very nice clean campground. The traffic going by on the highway can get quite loud, and I did end up cleaning up some other dog’s poop when we were setting up, but otherwise everything was nice, and it worked well for what we there for.
