What Guests Are Saying

The Grand Casino RV Park features well-maintained grounds and friendly staff, with convenient access to on-site amenities, including restaurants and a casino. However, some guests experienced issues with the reservation process, lack of communication regarding water availability, and unwelcoming check-in procedures. Overall, while the park has its positives, some aspects of service and amenities could be improved for a better guest experience.

Stayed in spot #4 in the RV park on a friday through sunday. This review is all in regards to the level of service I was provided. Created the reservation online. Never received a conformation email. Didn't think it went through so I gave it a week and created another. This time it went through but no email conformation. Called a few days later to get conformation number to their reservations line. Lady gave me the conformation number. At that time I asked if the water was turned on in the RV park and she said "let me check on that for you." Came back some maybe 30 seconds+ later and said "all the hookups are functioning at this time." I asked again since this is early April in MN and was assured they were. Cool, I don't need to fill my fresh tank. Arrive at the hotel (Have to check in at the hotel because the lodge is closed) and was greeted by a group of people standing around. Said I was here to check in for the RV park. The group handed it off to Amy, who was less than pleased she had to deal with my business. Amy proceeded to check me in and said I had 2 reservations. Which I did not. So the first one went through and the reservations lady didn't say anything. Amy removed the second and then said "you know the water isn't on right?" I told her I was informed it was. She replied with "Says here it's not". OK I asked where I could fill my fresh tank since I was assuming it was on. She said "The water might be on by the main bathhouse where the dump station is" I said If it's not where is there a place around here that I could go fill. Here response was "I don't know." And that was the end of my check in process. I won't stay here again because of this experience. Sounds like both the neighbors had a similar experience. Cable did not work and don't even bother trying the WiFi. I'll gladly tell everyone I know about this experience.

We stayed at the Chalets but there isnt a location for that in Google. But my only issue with these are the lack of dishes and cookware like they had prior to COVID.

Stay in site 194 for a week to visit family. A really nice park. The lodge pool was not open. We were told that we could enjoy the pool at the casino. The park is immaculate. The staff is really friendly and professional. We had an incident involving our "neighbors" partying and loud music and cackling until after 3:00 am. Security called, problem solved. 2 restaurants on site. Casino within walking distance, or they have a shuttle that can take you there.

We arrived at around 11:30am on a Monday, hoping to check in just a little early. The campground was nearly empty — not a soul in sight — so we figured there might be a little flexibility. Instead, we were told no by the front desk, who then called a manager who also said no, citing reasons that honestly didn’t make much sense for an empty property.

What really stood out was the tone. No warmth, no welcome — just cold, robotic policy enforcement. We weren’t trying to get away with anything unreasonable. We just assumed a casino would want guests on-site and spending money for as long as possible.

We waited in the parking lot for a full hour to be allowed to check in, and during that time, we watched other people arrive, get turned away, and leave in frustration. It was such an unwelcoming experience that I seriously considered turning around too.

It’s a shame, because the grounds seemed nice. But the tone was set before we even pulled in, and that first impression sticks. If this is how the hospitality side of the casino is run, I’d be thinking twice before spending money at the rest of the property.
