What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

We read the reviews for this site so we were prepared for a longer walk from the boat landing to campsite. Wasn’t a problem for us, but could be for some people. The fire pit is on a bit of a slope, but was fine for two people. The views are amazing, and the location is great. Tent areas are very well placed compared to other sites we checked out. Cell coverage was solid too, if that’s important to you. We would use this site again.

One of my most favorite places to visit. It’s been about 15 years since the last visit and all campsites look to be well improved. Great job NPS.

We spent two nights at the Channel View site in late June. It is a beautiful site with two nice tent pads, picnic table, and latrine. The entry to the store is not will described on the website, but it is a sheltered cove on the east end of the island where you can pull a canoe up onto the shore. We had a fairly strenuous paddle to get there with string weatherly breeze, so we were happy to get to the downwind side to pull into the cove. Also, you are allowed to collect down and dead wood on the island, but unless you have a chainsaw, the most you will get is small branches so I suggest bringing your own. They don't sell it at the VC, so you have to bring it from town. Other than that, everything was as expected and well worth the effort to get there.

Excellent boat-to campsites, well maintained docks and facilities. Beautiful scenery throughout the park. I took my dad and brother to VNP for their first time and we hit all of the major historical areas from the rock gardens to the IW Stevens resort, Hoist Bay, Kettle Falls, the cliffs at Grassy Bay and the Vermilion Gorge and they loved it and want to go back again! It you have a capable boat you can see a ton of the park in a long weekend. My only complaint is the fishing on Namakan is not as good as some of the other northern lakes in my opinion but that's no fault of the park, just nature.

Very nice campsite with an excellent view, boat parking is pretty rocky and there only space for one, would NOT recommend a fiberglass boat for this site. Little bit of a steep walk up to the campsite but other than that this is a good spot with some great views and good shade in the first half of the day.

Ground not easy to walk on to get to site from dock. Bear boxes in sun most of day.

Loved this campsite! We got a water taxi from Phil from Pine Cove Resort who was excellent and had accurate and current information about Ek Lake and the Cruiser Trail. We hiked the smaller loop of Cruiser to Lake Agnes. Lots of mosquitoes and ticks, but it is manageable if you are prepared. We also saw some fresh moose droppings and the huge beaver complex where Cruiser continues. Saw a beaver and a mating pair of loons in Ek lake which was really cool. The canoe is not at the campsite but you can canoe from storage area to the campsite. This was much prettier and easier than walking. The fire ring is set away from the tent pad which was nice for bear prevention. Ek Lake was beautiful and we loved our trip to Voyageurs!
