What Guests Are Saying
Voyageurs National Park offers stunning scenery, spacious and well-maintained campsites, and a variety of wildlife sightings, making it a fantastic destination for camping. The reservation system is convenient, though some users find it cumbersome and prefer the old method of finding campsites. Despite minor inconveniences like overgrown trails and occasional maintenance issues, visitors report enjoyable experiences and express eagerness to return.

The campers in the site before us were still there when we arrived and had not started packing. Granted, it was before 3:00 but it was after the noon departure time. We waited quietly and calmly out in the water away from the site but they were rude and hostile. Too bad. That has never happened before; we have stayed in Voyaguers two or three times each summer for 30 plus years.
It was a nice site for two couples. We fished a little and took a trip to Kettle Falls and relaxed a lot!

We had an incredible time on Rainy Lake, as we always do! Thank you to the park for keeping Rainy Lake pristine.

Great park, beautiful nature, and kind people. Everyone at the park was helpful and made the trip a blast. The Dark Sky party was a great time and our whole group became Junior Rangers! Definitely a memorable trip.

While the campsite and weather were great on our trip to Voyageurs national park. We notices this time and last year, how many empty campsites there were. I think the people who run this program need to tweek it so that a person can't reserve a campsite months earlier and not show up. One suggestion i would have is when making a reservation you put a small amount down on it. but then as you get closer to the use date, you have to make a payment on it. That way it if someone's plans change, they have a incentive to cancel the reservation, opening it up to someone else who will actually use it.

Stayed at Jorgens Lake for a couple nights, the campsite is great and having the entire lake to ourselves was even better! Finding the right tree to hang our food from took some time, but we didn’t have any run-ins with bears so it’s worth the effort.
Each night at least a couple of loons flew in from the bigger lakes to spend a quiet night with us, calling out at sunrise to make the mornings magical.

Beautiful island, we stayed three days. We unfortunately had strong winds from the north two of the days which made it challenging. Would still recommend! If calm waters and no wind this is an absolutely beautiful island!

Cute campsite that was well maintained and easy to get to. Helps that there was service for us so we could check Google maps for where we were going. Great place to see the sunset and hear the loons in the morning!

The campsite has a compact layout and it feels like it was recently redone. There are cute red squirrels. If you are looking for a well established campsite, this one is for you. We like the more rugged ones a bit better.
