What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Lake is a well-maintained campground with clean facilities, friendly staff, and a variety of activities, making it a favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. The large, quiet sites and beautiful surroundings enhance the camping experience, while the convenient access to boating and swimming is a significant plus. Some visitors noted issues with campsite proximity and minor facility improvements, but the overall atmosphere is inviting and enjoyable.

Nice campgrounds. The campground north of the river has more spacious campsites. The south campground is more scenic and has better facilities.

Our favorite place to visit each summer at least once. This year, we’re going twice. Clean and has a little bit of something for everyone in our household of six to enjoy. From fishing to playing volleyball.

The campground was very nice. The sites are big and beautiful. Too bad they don’t offer some sites with water and sewer. The volunteers did a great job.

It is a beautifully maintained campground. We prefer to stay on the North campground as the lawn areas are more grassy around the sites. Staff and Volunteer hosts are all friendly and willing to answer questions. Lots of deer and or horse flies at this time of year (June), which is to be expected. Wifi was fine for our needs (T-mobile).

We had a wonderful experience at Big Sandy! The host Alan and Janice were so helpful and friendly! We were happy we were able to get the shelter for our group because of the rain. Great time was had by all!

First time here, from WA state. Camping space was nice. Large spot with flat sandy dirt, our space #9 had stairs to a dock and some grassy area. You are right next to your neighbor, with just a split rail fence between.
No water at space so bring a container for your site and be prepared for CHIPMUNKS!! They are everywhere and not scared of anything. Will be back!

The campground was quiet. Lots of zebra muscles in the lake (if you leave your boat docked it will come out with them). Lake was otherwise quite enjoyable.
