  • Gun Lake Family Campground is family-oriented and has established rules for a safe and enjoyable stay.
  • Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am; violations may result in eviction after a warning.
  • Management has the authority to terminate any guest's stay at their discretion.
  • Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
  • Fireworks are prohibited unless specifically approved by the Sheriff's Office.
  • Trash must be disposed of in designated receptacles located by site 11.
  • Management may update the campground rules at any time.

Site capacity

  • Camping is allowed from May 1 to October 31.
  • Each site is allowed two vehicles, with overflow parking available nearby.

Vehicles & parking

  • The speed limit is 5 MPH throughout the campground, and pedestrians have the right of way.
  • Temporary parking is permitted at the office for check-in and by the dock for loading/unloading.

Local regulations

  • Do not enter the private road located to the north of the campground.

Pets

  • Pets must be controlled and cleaned up after at all times.

Fires & fuel

  • Only MN DNR approved firewood may be used, available for purchase at the office.

Wildlife & food storage

  • Do not engage with wildlife or livestock.

  • Modification of lots is restricted; one 120 sq. ft. shed is allowed with conditions.
  • Decks must be detachable; overhangs are prohibited and larger decks need approval.
