We stayed here as a base camp for day trips into the Boundary Waters. The campground is beautiful, the campsites were tidy, and the host was very friendly and touched base with each group of campers every day. Very well run campground and I will stay here again. Don't forget to drop your canoe in Crescent Lake itself as it is a gem worth the experience.

Beautiful area! Enjoyed blueberry picking and time around the campfire with extended family. Camp host was friendly and kept the nearby outhouses in great shape!

This is an incredibly beautiful and well run campground. It's great for swimming and boating.

Site 26 was amazing! Plenty of space for 2-3 tents. The site is right on the lake with plenty of shore line to fish and swim. Caught a few little smallmouth on Ned rigs and flicker minnow and caught a decent sized pike on a rattling rap. Supposed to be a good walleye lake as well. The host is a great guy with a very friendly dog. Highly recommend this site.

The campsite was perfect with a good amount of privacy with our own trail right to water! The host was extremely kind and welcoming, would definitely stay there again!

Travel Highway 61 along Lake Superior's north shore to Tofte, Minnesota. In Tofte, turn north (away from Lake Superior) on Sawbill Trail (CCHS 2). Follow the Sawbill Trail for 16 miles to The Grade (Forest Road 170). Turn right onto the The Grade and proceed east for 7 miles. The campground is on your right and is marked by a large sign.

General
- Limit of two vehicles per campsite, not including trailers; $10 fee for second vehicle. Extra vehicle can be paid online in advance or in person onsite. If paid onsite, you won't be charged the $2 add-on fee; free public parking lot is also available onsite near the campground
- Dogs are allowed but must be leashed
- Fires in campfire pits only and must be completely extinguished; cutting of live vegetation is not allowed
- Be bear aware; keep all food out of site in approved containers or locked inside a hard-sided vehicle and remove all food from area after eating

- Don't move firewood: To limit the spread of invasive tree-killing pests, firewood from outside the area is not permitted. Some states have quarantines and may confiscate your firewood.
