Absolutely beautiful campground entirely! Lake views are fantastic. Was challenge that campground paper map, as well as map on this site, shows a water spigot that doesn't exist at the far end of the spur showing near site 30. Spigot on map near site 41 exists but is actually on the opposite corner.

I’ve been going to Sawbill and Trails End for my entire life. Always great memories and the most beautiful unaltered scenery. Every trip is memorable. The camp store, showers, and laundry make for a convenient trip for all levels of campers.

We usually go into the Boundary Waters and camp but with a hip injury and getting older, we thought we would try the campground. It was easy to get to, nice camping spots, clean bathrooms, and showers available. The dock and Handicapped accessible fishing dock were nicely done. Very handy to have the store there with very helpful staff!

Great scenic campground. Most campsites are geared to tent campers . Biggest problem with this campground is the bugs and mosquitos. Middle of june and mosquitos so bad our dog would not go outside. Camp staff is great, lake is great. Long dirt road drive, but scenery is great . Insects ruined the experience.
