Well maintained rustic campground. Most sites have good privacy. Sawbill Outfitters has a fantastic store just minutes from your site. A nice way to try paddling into the boundary waters for beginners.

Would have been a five star except for the water supply with far too much chlorine necessary for sanitizing system

I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the inadequate help we received when arriving at our campsite. We were both so excited to get set up after hours of driving from Maine to Minnesota, to discover a van and camping gear set up at our already reserved site. No one was to be found, so we had to drive back to the main building to ask how we were to set up before sundown with someone else at our campsite. One of the employees walked around the woods, and while we were waiting, a man sauntered up to us and claimed it was his belongings at our camp. He took about 20 minutes packing up, and another 5 trying to back out of the driveway. In that time, the camp employee came over and just shrugged a "sorry" saying they have been having trouble with this particular person setting up camp without paying. Why is there no one surveying the sites? Whats the point of paying to reserve a spot? We had to set up in the dark, and the campsite was left a mess - broken tree branches, broken campfire grill...overall, I would have wanted a refund for that first night.
