What Guests Are Saying
Stony Point is praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favored destination for campers. Many appreciate the well-maintained campsites and access to the lake, with several guests returning year after year. However, there are concerns about maintenance, particularly regarding overgrown grass and inadequate pest control, which detracts from the overall experience.

We’ve been coming to Stony Point for many yrs. Our main complaint is the poor upkeep of the restrooms & shower bldgs. The shower floors & walls have mold on them. It’s a shame because they were just built about 3 yrs ago. This past year when we were there, there wasn’t campground’s hosts. It’s a beautiful campground. Wish there was better upkeep.

Loved our stay at Stony Point. It was our second time here, and we were not disappointed. Bathroom facilities were well kept. Fishing was great, but the fish cleaning shack is in dire need of improvement. Spacious sites and nice beach.

Been coming to Stony Point for years. Beautiful campground. Well kept, roomy sites, very nice bathrooms & showers, sheltered harbor for your boat. Firewood is cheap & plentiful. Swimming beach is clean & sandy. Can't go wrong with Stony Point.

Stony Point is a beautiful campground. Most sites have some privacy, but all are very close to beautiful Leech Lake.
The bathrooms are very clean and comfortable and the showers are one of the best I've used in a public campground. Our stay was shortened due to a storm causing a power outage, but we had a great stay and will return again.

We love this campground ---nice, large sites with a lot of trees & shade. Two harbors if you want to have a boat. Fairly quiet (depending upon who is in campground, of course), but we've not had a lot of issue. With two big dogs, it is a great place for walks and we find ample space/areas to take them.

Very nice campground and location. The bathrooms were okay but the showers were absolutely terrible. The floors and wall were full of mold and green slim. Had to wear sandals while showering as we did not want to walk on the floor.
