Campground is a beautiful, quiet, lakeside area. We’ve stayed here many times and it’s always nice. However, this last visit hit a bit of a snag as someone was already in our lakeside spot when we arrived at 5:00 pm. We were told that apparently our spot was double booked, as were two others that same day. The host was very pleasant and placed us in another spot, which worked out just fine as we were only passing through and just staying the one night. Hopefully this was just a computer glitch, as we do plan to stay there again.

I really loved it out here . I have family in town and this park was about 15 minutes away . But the park itself was awesome . I had site 15 and the view was amazing . I went doing off season so it’s really wasn’t anyone out there which was great also . But even if it was full I think the site are pretty well spaced out . The host here was great . They didn’t bother u but if you needed something they were available. I felt safe here . The gate closes at 9pm and I almost missed it my last night cause I went out with family since it was my last night here . But I can’t complain because that’s what make this campground a safe environment.

We stopped for 1 night on our way from Iowa to Alabama. It was a beautiful, quiet campground with great scenery. The shower houses were well kept. Definitely would stop again if traveling through.

We reserved a waterfront site #18 Thursday night through Sunday. The weather was perfect and the site was too. Level, flat, shady and large. There was some trash at the water line but it wasn't excessive. The swans swam by in the morning for breakfast and we fed them Friday and Saturday. They have piers for fishing or you can actually fish right from your campsite. There are bike trails, pavilions and picnic areas. The bath house was clean, had two showers, and water pressure was good. The rules indicate that you can't ride scooters but we were told by camp staff that they're not too strict on this rule. We would be able to ride scooters as long as we are licensed and the scooter has lights on the front and the back. Apparently they're not too strict on the rule to keep off the grass either. There were several people parked on the grass. All in all, even though it was a bit of a drive, this was our favorite campground so far. Next time we'll reserve most any campsite in the '70s.
