Swinging Bridge RV Park

We (3 large Class A motor homes) booked the RV park, sight unseen. Roads inside are wide enough for trailers and motor homes. It has a nice laundry facility up front, near the office. It’s conveniently located off I-55 in Byram, MS. It’s five minutes from the historic Swinging Bridge, which was closed/locked. Most disappointing. The RV sites are spaced out (many concrete pads) and this place has lots of tall trees. It’s quiet at night and you can’t hear I-55 noise. There is an occasional passing train nearby. Decent place to stop. Mark in the office greeted us with a smile, showed us to our sites and even gave us a small vase of live flowers for the wives.

Awesome welcome! Had a couple of hand delivered treats and small vase of flowers! Friendly, quiet and clean campground . Super nice Mexican restaurant “Sombrero’ near. Awesome food there too!

This was a spontaneous stop. Could not be more pleased. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Shaded lots for us to park our RV. Fairly new shower facilities, which were extremely clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Some of the negative reviews almost stopped us from looking at this place, but it was the closest option to where we were working. Glad to say that we didn't listen to the negative reviews, because we loved this park. It's simple and quiet, which is what we look for. I appreciate that the spots were spaced out where we had plenty of room in each side of the rig where we could enjoy time outside with our dogs. A lot of the people are permanent residents, but everyone seemed really nice. Laundry area was clean and kept. Our site had a water and septic hook up on each end, so no matter where your tanks are, it was a short distance. That's something most huge RV resorts don't even have. It's the little conveniences that make big impressions. The sites were plenty big and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The bridge is cool. Vandals have grafitti on sign and parts of bridge. Sad.
It's just a walk across the bridge but cool because its a swinging bridge!
