Long-term repairs to Arkbabutla Dam must be completed before water levels can return to normal. This affects boating access and water-based activities on the lake. Many boat ramps are currently closed with Hwy. 51 Landing being the only open ramp. Most day use and campground facilities remain open for public use. The maintenance crew sprayed my campsite with a known carcinogen "Roundup" without warning. I had to leave immediately. Nothing else matters.

Good long level spots overlooking the lake. Lake Water is very low now due to maintenance needs. Water & electricity at most RV sites. Didn’t check out bathhouse.

Being harassed by "monk" and "cody" f I r misuse of disability sight . Even after I showed them my disability paperwork Jamie hissong allowed them to harrass me and allow the volunteer to get away with letting vicious pit bull dog to run loose , while she watched this dog harrass other people , she threatened me about my registered service animal sitting by my side not being on a leash. I reported this to Jackson several times with no results. So they started harassing me more. But no repercussions from their boss I say to disabled people to avoid arkabutla because its run by bigots. Jamie should be ashamed of her actions after being married to Tommy

I love that they keep their grass cut and it’s clean unlike Sardis(Oak Grove). Bathrooms could be updated but they are clean.The pads are updated and very nice and no problem with electrical hookups. Sad to see that the lake is drained, so there is no boating, fishing or any other activities though for years to come. Praying they don’t close the camping areas because it’s a very clean relaxing place to camp.

We arrived no one to greet us. Also couldn’t get ahold of any staff the entire time we stayed. Power went out and was out for four days. Along with power outages there was no water even after the power came back. Had to leave the campground early.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- Visitors should familiarize themselves with the park's general rules.
- A Coast Guard approved personal flotation device (PFD) is required on Arkabutla Lake for certain activities, with specific rules based on vessel length.

- Buy firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
