What Guests Are Saying
South Abutment Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, peaceful atmosphere, and quiet surroundings, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, paved sites with full hookups, and the area's natural beauty, despite some concerns about low water levels in the lake. However, issues such as occasional power outages, outdated bathroom facilities, and a lack of staff presence have been noted.

Very nice site, backs up to lake! Picnic table and patio are at least level with parking area! 30 amp hookup only in camp! Water pressure is moderate! No camp host available! Sites needed cleaning up due to all pine trees! Bathroom was dirty, spiders everywhere and on weekend when it was busy were not stocked!!! No one checking people in at the gate to see if they had reservations and only security was rangers drove by maybe twice/day! Gate open all the time so anyone can come into camp!

- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee.
