What Guests Are Saying
South Abutment Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, peaceful atmosphere, and quiet surroundings, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, paved sites with full hookups, and the area's natural beauty, despite some concerns about low water levels in the lake. However, issues such as occasional power outages, outdated bathroom facilities, and a lack of staff presence have been noted.

Sites were dirty. Grass was long. Bath house was gross. It had a shower curtain moldy and hanging up on 3 holes. Won’t be staying here again!

Very nice campground with good size spaces. Bathhouses could have been cleaner.

Very nice location. Bathroom need help and we had a good amount of picking up around the site before it felt usable.
Wish website had better pictures so you could pick your site better. On Site 17 was closer to bathrooms(but not the nicest; middle loops had more updates) but the hook was bent to the ground and the table, grill, and fire ring were down off the parking pad. Had it rained or site 18 used too much water(water from their pump led down to 17area) we would have been in muddy mess. We called in to switch to site 20 which was much better. The service was very help and kind.
For the future our top choices for sites would be 74; 56: 26
Plan to buy firewood as not much to get around area.

We are full-time rv living right now and so far we have enjoyed the South Abutment campground the most. We definitely can recommend this campground for a peaceful getaway with great scenery.
