What Guests Are Saying
South Abutment Campground is praised for its clean, well-maintained sites, peaceful atmosphere, and quiet surroundings, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious, paved sites with full hookups, and the area's natural beauty, despite some concerns about low water levels in the lake. However, issues such as occasional power outages, outdated bathroom facilities, and a lack of staff presence have been noted.

The spots were clean and super large and accommodating. It is one of our favorite places to camp.

I love it there. Very peaceful and always has a breeze. The grass is kept cut and it has updated electrical and sewer hookups. Large and handicap pads. The only downsides are the restrooms could be updated and of course there is no fishing right now as they are still working on the dam

The campground is actually very nice…however…there appears to be no regular staff or host who is taking care of the campground on a daily (or weekly) basis. Bathrooms are old and not cleaned on a daily basis. Sites are not cleaned and there was lots of deadfall and storm fall branches. Several of the sites look like they are being lived on permanently, which is in violation of the 14 day rule and lends a dumpy air to the campground.
