We stop here at least once a year on our way to or from the gulf. This year we are staying here both ways with another reservation for March 14-15. I gave only two stars due to the fact that when we stayed there Feb26-27,2024, the bath/shower houses were locked up. They should be open if there is a camp host , which there was! I hope they are open when we get back there in 9 days. I mean , why pay you for a place to park for the night? Walmarts are free.

This was one of the best campgrounds we stayed at during our winter trip. The sites were well maintained and the park was clean and well taken care of. We wish we could have stayed longer. The most beautiful sunrises I have seen, even beats the ocean, Keep up the good work.

They need to add a trash dumpster. We had to haul our trash to a gas station to throw it away. I've never been to a Corps park where we didn't check in with an attendant. It worked out okay, but I would like a little more security by having a gate or an attendant. The sites were nice all over the park. Very quiet.

We visited in the winter when the lake was low so the views were great but we gathered to with friends. The park only had a few campers there. I walked around the park and saw the bath house in one section. It was very clean and maintained well. The sites all have sewer connection which is a major plus at a COE park.
We want to go back to this park in the higher water periods for the views. We did not see or even talk to an attendant. I think they drove by one time but with so few people staying and we had no issues to address we didn’t need to see them.
Overall, a great park with spacious sites and is well maintained. A definite return to place for us.
