Grounds need to be mowed more often and weeds and brush cleared around the shoreline and in the picnic table areas of the campsite

Beautiful area with great views. Clean campground and shower house. It's rocky on the shoreline so don't forget your water shoes!

It was beautiful. I would have rated it excellent if it had sewer hookup. If camping in the fall, get a spot facing the S. side of the lake. The wind off of the lake on the N. side can be real chilly. I would recommend Bob Evans in Branson for quality food, service & price. We also enjoyed taking the golf cart tour at the Top of the Rock. The views, water falls, covered bridge and cave were so interesting and a lot of photo opportunities. I would suggest booking tickets as early as possible. If you purchase them there the day you go, they are much higher.

We have been going to Old 86 for many years. Always a great facility but sometimes in the past the restrooms were not taken care of very well. For the past two years the people cleaning the restrooms have done an outstanding job. They check and clean them not once but several times a day and they are always free of bugs, paper on the floor and the sinks and toilets are great. Can't say enough good things about the condition of the restrooms. I hope they continue to be a part of Old 86 for a long time.

Very nice clean RV park. Does not have individual sewer connections, which for us, necessitates moving the trailer to dump it when staying more than 3 days. Very quite. No planned activities. Water on three sides which provides beautiful views and water access. Good location to enjoy other amenities in the Branson area.

We just happened upon two women who were walking by the river next to the Bass Sports store. We got talking and they said to try the Old Hwy 86 camp sites. They said they do a lot of camping there and just love it. When we got to the site, the two women working the check in booth were so helpful, letting us know which sites were still available. We checked out the sites and chose one right on the waters edge. The reservation system worked fine as long as we found internet service. The views around this camp site were beautiful. We didn't have any transportation other than our motorhome, so we didn't do a lot of sightseeing, plus we brought out two dogs with us, which limited our activities. This campsite allows dogs as long as they are on a leash.
