Bucksaw is a beautiful park and we really enjoyed our stay. A big part of the Bucksaw experience was the husband and wife team who manages the park. They went over and beyond to make sure we were happy and enjoying our stay. We hope to go back one of these days.

Campers are allowed to stay until 6PM which I did not notice when I made the reservation. That seems extremely late. We arrived about 3pm. The site was still occupied so we waited until 6PM. The occupier was still there and no where to be found. The man at the booth offered us a different site without full hookups which we took. Later the Park Ranger came by and said the other party had left and we could move there now. He also chastised me for showing up 3 hours early! I repeat 6PM is a VERY LATE CHECKOUT!

The campground is the typical Corp setup and organized like any other. Very clean, well staffed with knowledgeable people. Before you book, the location is technology remote. One digital tv station (PBS), Verizon - ZERO coverage, AT&T - three bars of 3g. Enjoy

We have stayed here once before. The shower houses are good on stalls and shower numbers but the water pressure and temperatures are all over the place. I never got a fully warm shower but others in my party said they did. There was a decent amount of residual trash left around the loop water bottle lids, wrappers, and lots of cigarette bbutts. The kids love having a playground but they're both REALLY outdated and could use an update. The closest trek to the beach is through two campsites which you feel bad cutting through but going around is waaaay further and the gate was closed the whole time we were there. A sidewalk to walk on from the loop to the beach would really help.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Drain all water from equipment and discard live bait before leaving the park to prevent the spread of zebra mussels.
