What Guests Are Saying
Round Spring Campground offers a beautiful location with clean, well-maintained facilities, including hot showers and restrooms. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to the Current River, and opportunities for wildlife sightings, such as wild horses. However, some campers noted issues with campsite leveling and limited cell service, as well as occasional noise from nearby river activities. Overall, it remains a popular destination for its natural beauty and amenities.

Nice electric sites on concrete and blacktop pad. Water spicket was loose but did not leak. 20 amp GFCI outlet did not work. Site E-4.

We invited family from Chicago to come down for a camping and floating trip. Round Spring was perfect for us. The campsites were very well maintained and nicely spread out. The nights were nice and cool and we could listen to the river during the quiet time in the evening. The only complaint came during the second night when a camper moved in just down the hill from us. They ran their generator all night long and we were disappointed because it wasn't quiet and the sounds of the river were no longer audible. Early in the morning we were able to glimpse a band of wild horses across the river coming down for a drink. There is a very nice tributary off of the Current and it's great for bird watching. I highly recommend Carr's Canoe Rental. They picked us up from our camp site in Round Spring and drove us to Akers Ferry to put in. Then we were pretty lazy on our rafts until we put out at Pulltite. It was really a great respite!

Extremely disappointed with the amount of law enforcement there was going into and around the park. I work in Kansas City and don't believe I've heard as many sirens from people being pulled over by the Park Rangers. Was not at all a peaceful relaxing atmosphere. Park Rangers was in my opinion over stepping they're boundaries and basically harassing the guest trying to enter the park. WON'T GO BACK!!!!! EXTREMELY DISSAPOINTED

The Round Spring pavilion was the PERFECT setting for my son's wedding rehearsal dinner! The pavilion is fairly private and away from traffic, in a beautiful shaded lawn next to the spring branch. In addition, the pavilion was in great condition, clean, and tables neatly arranged. We were impressed that it had obviously been cleaned recently, so it was in great shape for our party. We also appreciated that the maintenance foreman Steve stopped by personally to check on us as we were setting up, to inquire if we needed anything. Awesome customer service! I hope to use the pavilion again in the future.

Our 2 nite stay at the Round Spring campground was perfect because : the site was roadway level for our RV and solitary and close to the bathrooms ; the Current River was within walking distance for wading and for our kayak takeout ; and the camp Hosts were attentive and so friendly that we found out they were our neighbors from the next town at the Lake of the Ozarks !

Round Spring is a great campground; have been there numerous times. Tent sites are fairly level, but rocky (yes, it's the Ozarks), so use a good pad for sleeping. Excellent access for paddling the Current River. Easy shuttles for access to other launch/take-out sites. Good facilities - bathrooms, showers and potable water. The raccoons have become a menace; walked right into our camp in daylight and helped themselves to the whatever was on the picnic table, 10 feet from where we were sitting. At night they unscrewed a lidded camp barrel to get at food. Store your food in your truck!

This was not our first time staying in the area, but it was our first time at Round Spring and we loved it and will definitely return! Very nice place to set up camp. We didn't float, but we saw the shuttle services throughout our stay and they seemed very friendly. The campsite we stayed at (024) was elevated ground which was wonderful. You can see in the pictures that there were designated stairways to the campsites. It did rain, but there were minimal puddles in the area and since our campsite was raised ground, we had no troubles at all!
Also:
- Camp hosts were very pleasant
- Bathrooms/showers were very clean
- Easy access to the river for swimming
- Pet friendly - our doggo had a great time!
- I have Cricket and I didn't have cell service, but this is a PLUS for me.
