What Guests Are Saying
Round Spring Campground offers a beautiful location with clean, well-maintained facilities, including hot showers and restrooms. Many visitors appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, proximity to the Current River, and opportunities for wildlife sightings, such as wild horses. However, some campers noted issues with campsite leveling and limited cell service, as well as occasional noise from nearby river activities. Overall, it remains a popular destination for its natural beauty and amenities.

Restrooms were clean and there were cool things to see in the area. Only downside is that there is no cell signal so make sure to plan ahead.

Beautiful place. Kids had a blast. Checked out the town of Eminence, plus Rocky Falls, Alley Springs, Echo Bluff State Park (very nice lodge plus swimming and nice restaurant) plus went trout fishing at Montauk State Park. Some of the guys hiked parts of the Ozark Trail. The camp hosts at Round Springs were great and very helpful.
One think, there is no cell service/wifi there so if you need either then the nearest place is Echo Bluff.

Beautiful location! Only a few sites are not level and the crows can be annoying, everything else was great.

This was our second time camping at the Round Spring Campground, so that should tell you how we feel about this location. There was some noisy folks our first night, but that was before the arrival of the camp hosts. It's a shame that some people cannot adhere to the 10 pm quiet time. I guess their fun is more important than the peace and sound of nature the rest of us are there to enjoy. Speaking of the camp hosts, I didn't get her name, but she is a gem. She is so personable and friendly. That in itself causes us to want to return again. We absolutely love the campground. The facilities are well kept and who doesn't enjoy a nice shower after a day of funtivities. We saw the Round Spring herd of wild horses in the field by the group campground area just north of our camping sight. Round spring is beautiful and we even witnessed a beaver swimming out of it. There is a store just across the current river, and although they weren't open when we first arrived, April 23d, Echo Bluff State Park is just a couple of miles further north and they have a nice store inside their lodge. Round Spring campground is about 13 miles north of Eminence, where there's a Dollar General Store. Alley Mill & Spring is approximately 5 miles west of Eminence. We also visited Rocky Falls at sunrise one morning. It's about a 45 minute ride from the campground. Round Spring Campground has quickly become one of our favorite places to "get away from it all".

The down slope ramp on exiting the camping spot made it difficult to back into the camping spot. The RV camp spots are all very similar. In general we enjoyed the campgrounds. We weren't able to get any cell service in the entire area. Had to drive to a nearby town to get any cell service at all. Electric and water were both good. The space at the spot was very good, plenty of room. Entire surface was concrete.

Our end of season camping stay at Round Spring was worth the trip. Pleasant campground with excellent and varied hiking options suitable for young and old.

Clean, well maintained park. Friendly rangers. Great base for canoe trips on the Current river.

The bathrooms were clean and my family really appreciated that. The site was flat for our tent and mostly clear of trash. I make an attempt to pick up 6 items of trash before I leave a site and it was difficult to find 6 items. We used cots and didn't have to worry about roots or rocks, but I can imagine a thick pad would be needed if we didn't have cots. Our site was a bit close to the neighbor's as they kind of setup too close to us. I can't remember site numbers, but it seemed that most sites had a decent distance between them. There was one site that was small and couldn't imagine setting a family tent on. Check satellite views if you can.
We used the canoe outfitter down the road and across the bridge. They picked us up from our campsite and floated from Pulltite to round springs. It was nice to have a short walk to the camp site from the river exit. We went during the open season of night fishing and they use generators on their jet boats. Nothing can be done about the noise, but be aware if the site is close to the river.
