What Guests Are Saying
Ruark Bluff East offers a fantastic camping experience with a beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it ideal for families. Campers appreciate the spacious sites, stunning lake views, and the variety of outdoor activities available, such as fishing and swimming. While some improvements are needed, including better grass maintenance and shower upgrades, overall, guests enjoy their time and are likely to return.

The site is really cramped…the sites are on a slope and extremely close to the sites to the right and left. 0 privacy.
I came in the night of my reservations and my plaque wasn’t on the site so some man and his child took my site.

Have they sprayed for ticks & chiggers? We were bitten more times than ever before. All else OK.

Very much enjoy the 50 amp service on the new sites. They are wide spacious with neighboring sites not TOO close. Looking forward to when the baby trees grow up and provide some needed shade and wish that water hydrants were a little closer. Had a great weekend at the lake.

The new management is great. There are several areas that are not shaded well, also plan accordingly. There are water sources near the sites, but one site ran two hoses together and claimed the water source (meant for about 10 sites) as his own. So rude and presumptious. Great area to put in a boat, and sites are maintained pretty well!

May, 2023: Bath house water was scalding hot; dangerous temperature, be careful. Another bath house had shower fixtures that were broken and need of repair. We stayed at one spot and the fire grate was completely melted and it did not look like anyone made any attempts to repair it.
The swimming beach is extremely nice. My kids had a tent at another spot and it was a nice location. If the shower house was in better repair; it would deserve a much higher rating.
