Nice sites, pretty good distance between. Campers should be prohibited from burning plastic (cans, foil, butts)in fire rings. It’s really bad to breathe and ‘every’ site we looked at had trash in the ring.

Nice campground nice view. Liked you could bring pwc up to your campground. Camp site could have been cleaned better. Broken glass.

This is a nice campground that we've been coming to since the late 90's. Many sites are shaded. The site are electric only with 30 amp which I hope at some point they become 50 amp service. There are several water spigots throughout the campground. Now for the part of my stay this year that I really didn't like. The lift pump for the shower houses and dump station went out twice during the 4th of July weekend while the campground was packed. Part of Saturday, most all of Sunday, and well into Monday afternoon there was no use of the showers, flush toilets, and dump station. For most all RV's that had to dump upon leaving Ruark Bluff West ... we had to drive to Ruark East Campground dump station and make a tight turn back to the highway after dumping. Apparently Ruark West is the only campground on Stockton Lake with only one lift pump ... no backup pump as I was told by a local. Surely funds can be found to eliminate further tragedies as happened this holiday weekend.
