Nice camping area. Well kept. Those who run the guard shack, I believe his name is Russell and his wife, are very efficient informative and friendly. We've gone several times this year and the park is kept in good order. The last time we went however the neighbors next to us had two dogs and neither was on a leash. They kept coming over in our double campsite to do their "business". I thought dogs were to be kept on a leash while at the park.We did not mention to the park attendance as we did not want to cause trouble with our neighbors.

Our spot got double booked & we were with a large group but we had to be moved into volunteer spot on East side completely away from our group. The park attendants were very nice about but it just ruined our group camping trip

Arrival & departure
- Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is also 4:00 PM.

Cancellation policy
- Ruark Bluff West is for overnight stays only; day use is prohibited. Reservations may be canceled if no valid camping unit is present.
- Reservations cannot be made via phone call to the park.
Utilities
- Drinking water and electric hookups are available from April 16 to September 29.
Site capacity
- Each campsite allows one RV and either two tents or three tents.
Safety & rules
- Park rangers and County Sheriffs Deputies patrol the campground regularly.
Fires & fuel
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; buy it locally and burn it on-site.
